Good NEWS

(From the 25/9/09, after a lot of effort to get the Aradippou Municipality to agree, our Association took over Aradippou Dog Shelter in order to save the dogs from euthanasia. Ever since it has the responsibility of the shelter and dogs are not put to sleep. They are taken care of by Members the Committee of Larnaca-Famagusta Association for the Protection of Animals and Birds (ACS) until they are rehomed- That is why we need volunteers to help us help these animals) Since the 25/9 we managed to rehome hundreds of dogs.

Directions to Aradippou Shelter

Coming from Rizoelia Roundabout towards Larnaca take the first exit on the left. You will see a sign for a Pet Shop. Drive about 1km, pass the Star Pet Shop (green sign) on your left and take a left. Drive about 1km, pass under a bridge then you will see a sign for the Shelter.

Achilleas is a cross breed male German sheperd. He is about 2-3 years old and although he is scared of people he could make a good guard dog.

Above , Anglalitsas, a 3-4 year old hunting male dog needs to be rehomed somewhere with a big garden as he likes to run all day.

Above, a very friendly female pointer (about 2 yrs old). Needs to be treated with medicine for about 6 months as she was hit by a car and has a problem with her back and front left foot.

Stella on the left is a cyprus poodle (2 yrs old) is been with us since we took responsibility of the shelter. she is spayed and very friendly.

Brownie has diabetes and a little bit of catarract. Is being fostered by the president of our association for the time being. Has to be careful with her nutrition. Loves rides with the car. (about 5-6 yrs old)

Above, Angie-Pekinoua & Poodle( 2-3 yrs old - is spayed). Has a bit of an attitude issue. Is kind of aggressive to people she doesnt know. She needs her time with you. And then she gives all her heart to you!

Above, left a female 2 yr old spayed poodle . She is very friendly and playful. Above right, Ektoras ( 2 yr old male poodle) is very energetic!

Lambis-lambrador cross breed. He is been in the shelter for 1,5 years ( about 4 years old) . A little bit scared, needs to be with you for a bit until he is comfortable.

Above, Mangas- (4 years old). Scared of people, needs sometime before he gets used to you.

Above, brown dog is Moli a golden retriever spayed cross breed. (3 years old) Very friendly!!! She is been in a house but her owner could not handle two dogs. Above right a male pincher crossed perhaps with terrier. (About 2 years old)

Above, Roullis 1 & 2 (left - Roullis 1 cyprus 3-4 yr old poodle is epileptic needs urgently a quiet home) (right - Roullis 2, also 3-4 years old is scared and needs time) Both are very friendly with other dogs. It would be bice if they can go to the same home together...
